Job vacancies grew by 2.8% in Lithuania in Q2

Statistics Lithuania has announced that at the end of the second quarter of 2015 there were 13,400 job vacancies for salaried employees, informs LETA/ELTA.
In the second quarter of 2015, compared with the previous quarter, the number of job vacancies grew by nearly 400 or 2.8%. Compared with the second quarter of 2014, job vacancies grew by 1,900 or 16.6%.

In the second quarter of 2015, most job vacancies opened in trade (400), public governance and defence; mandatory social insurance and industry (nearly 200 each). The number of vacancies decreased the most in education, science or technical sector; accommodation and catering companies (100 each).
Most job vacancies were available in industry – 3,000 (22.5% of all vacancies), trade – 2,200 (16.3%), public governance and defence; mandatory social insurance – 1,500 (11.4%).
