Print versionThe American fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is setting up a restaurant at 14 Audeju Street in the Old Town of Riga, as LETA observed.

There is the KFC logo on the building, while the interior is being furnished with furniture and other equipment.
LETA has been unable to contact the company's representatives so far.
As reported, according to the Patent Office of Latvia, KFC registered its brand in Latvia already back in 1992, which means that the holding company will open its subsidiary in Riga without a franchise.
KFC and Pizza Hut both belong to the American fast food company Yum! Brands.
With more than 18,000 restaurants in 115 countries, KFC is currently one of the largest fast food chains in the world.
Pizza Hut currently operates more than 13,000 restaurants in 88 countries.
