Britain's leading sports retailed Sports Direct will unveil its first shop in Latvia at the ''Olimpia'' shopping mall in Riga tomorrow, the shopping center's spokeswoman Zane Sulca informed LETA.

She did not reveal how much was invested in setting-up the new shop, but added that it will be 1,300 square-meter in size.

The leading British sporting goods retailer Sports Direct concluded an agreement back in 2013 for buying 60% of Estonian sporting goods retailer Sportland International Group.

Sportland International Group operates Sportland, Sportland Outlet, Timberland, O’Neill, Nike and Nike Outlet store chains in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Meanwhile, Sports Direct was established in 1982 in England, and is the leading sports retailed in the UK at the moment. The company currently operated over 270 shops in various countries all over the world.

Sports Direct already has its shop in Tallinn.
