Orlen Lietuva increases shipments to Latvia by 22%

The Lithuanian subsidiary of the Polish oil company PKN Orlen – Orlen Lietuva, has been able to increase its productions capacity in the second quarter of the year 2015 to 86%, but in June the company's production capacity reached 92%, the company informed LETA.

This past June, the company's production capacity was the highest within the past two years. In the first half of 2015, the company achieved sales results in the Baltics and Ukraine worth EUR 134 million.

 

The company points out that due to the increase in production capacity, it has also increased shipments of oil products to Latvia by 22%, but in Estonia – by 38%.

 

As reported, last year, the turnover and profit of the oil product distributor Orlen Latvija dropped by more than 50%, according to Firmas.lv information.

 

In 2014, the company's turnover fell by 53% – from EUR 769,964,768 in 2013 to EUR 503,406,302 in 2014.

 

Meanwhile, Orlen Latvija profits reduced by 54% – from EUR 3,937,676 in 2013 to EUR 2,555,224 in 2014.

 

Orlen Latvija operates as Orlen Lietuva oil product distributor in Latvia. The company's main tasks are: to organize the trade system, actively operate on the domestic market, supply and store petroleum products in terminals, work with clients, transport petroleum products to client terminals and lead client credit risks.

 

Orlen Latvija was registered in Latvia in 2003, and it fully belongs to the Lithuanian company Mazeikiu naftos.
