On July 16th, Lithuania's State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) received official notices from Morocco and Tunisia on the reconciliation of export permits regarding Lithuanian beef and cattle, reports LETA/ELTA.

A competent institution of Tunisia has confirmed that all the veterinary documents that are required for beef export from Lithuania to Tunisia had been worked out and Lithuanian companies will be able to start exporting immediately.

Moroccan Food Safety Agency has officially informed the VMVT that export of Lithuanian cattle and beef to this Northern Africa country would soon be permitted. A formal confirmation has been received, but Lithuanian companies and farmers will be able to launch their exports once competent authorities agree on provisions of veterinary certificates.
