Latvian Gemoss turns over EUR 22.25 mln in 2014

Latvian restaurant-hotel equipment and condiments supplier Gemoss turned over EUR 22,258,992 in 2014, the company's spokesman Inguss Reizenbergs informed LETA.

Compared with 2013, the company marked a 21% increase. Reizenbergs declined to reveal the company's profit in 2014.

 

This year, Gemoss plans on turning over EUR 23 million. "This year, we are focusing on projects we intend to finish in 2016, however, we have no plans to open any new stores this year," Reizenbergs said.

 

CEO Ieva Treija said that last year Gemoss expanded its operations to Estonia by opening a store in Tallinn. Gemoss also opened a coffee studio in Riga, where brew-masters are trained, as well as expanded the company's production facility at its logistics center.

 

Last year, the company earned the international food quality and safety certificate BRC (British Retail Consortium-Global Standards for Food Safety), which verifies the high quality of Gemoss produce, as well as its compliance with the regulatory requirements, Treija informed.

 

According to Firmas.lv information, in 2013, Gemoss turned over EUR 18.4 million, which is 7% more than in 2012, when the company's turnover reached EUR 17.3 million. The company's profit in 2013 was EUR 1.32 million, which is 14% more than in 2012, when the profit reached EUR 1.16 million.

 

Gemoss was founded in 1993, and Treija is the sole owner. The company's share capital is EUR 1 million.
