Industrial production in Latvia showed 1.8% growth in April
Print versionCompared to April 2014 industrial production volume in April 2015 (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices) grew by 10.2%, of which in mining and quarrying – by 17.9% and in manufacturing – by 10.9%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 6%.

The largest growth as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was registered in manufacture of basic metals. Growth was also recorded in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – of 55.1%, in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – of 46.2%, in manufacture of furniture - of 19.2%, and in manufacture of wood and of products of wood - of 6.1%.
In turn production drop was observed in manufacture of wearing apparel - of 20.8%, in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products - of 10.1% and in manufacture of food products - of 6.8%.
