Ferry route Klaipeda-Karlshamn opened in Central Klaipeda Terminal

Ro-Pax ferry route connecting the ports of Klaipeda and Karlshamn (Sweden) has been opened at Central Klaipeda Terminal of the Klaipeda Seaport, informs LETA/ELTA.

The route connects Lithuania and southern Sweden and is operated by two Ro-Pax vessels with daily sailings in each direction.

 

Last year, the line carried more than 90,000 passengers and over 40,000 vehicles of passengers, as well as 60,000 tons of cargo units.

 

From 26 May, ferries operating on Klaipeda-Karlshamn route are serviced from the new Central Klaipeda Terminal.

 

Arvydas Vaitkus, director general of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority, said that the new Central Klaipeda Terminal is one the most important projects ever implemented at the Klaipeda Seaport.
