Kronospan Riga turned over EUR 164.037 mln in 2014

Print versionWood plate manufacturer Kronospan Riga (formerly Bolderaja LTD) turned over EUR 164.037 million in 2014, which is 2.5% more as compared with 2013, when the company turned over EUR 160.030 million, reports LETA, according to Firmas.lv information.

The company's profit went down 13% – from EUR 34.928 million in 2013 to EUR 30.250 million in 2014.
Kronospan Riga management report says that investments allowed the company to produce 700,000 cubic meters of wood panels. A new production line began operations in the last quarter of 2014, and the income it generated compensated for the fall in sale prices, which affected the majority of Europe last year, and especially Russia.
Kronospan Riga was founded in 1993 after privatization of Bolderajas koksnes kompleksas parstrades kombinats that was established in 1969.
The company produces wood plates and laminated products. It currently has 291 employees.
