Klaipedos Smelte becomes Lithuania's Investor of the Year 2014

Print versionLithuania's stevedoring company Klaipedos Smelte has been awarded as the Investor of the Year 2014. The award was presented to the company during a traditional award ceremony held by the association Investors' Forum, informs LETA/ELTA.

Klaipedos Smelte was awarded for its investments in the construction of the international container distribution centre and highly-skilled job creation. Last year alone, the company's investment in the container port completion amounted EUR 16.5 million, while the total investment stands at over EUR 73 million.
Biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scientific Baltics was awarded as the Most Responsible Company of the Year.
The Best Decision for Business Climate Improvement award went to Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius for the euro adoption in Lithuania.
