The company Baltic Post, a subsidiary company of Lithuania Post providing LP EXPRESS courier services, says that the number of items delivered during Q1 of the current year has increased by 17% if compared with the same period of 2014. The most considerable growth, namely 2.5 times, has been recorded in deliveries performed using the self-service parcel terminals LP EXPRESS 24, reports BC post’s press service.

“We are the only in the country offering to our customers the widest choice of delivery options: delivery to addressees in person via couriers, posting via the self-service parcel terminals LP EXPRESS 24, and posting via post offices.

We are very satisfied with the results generated by the self-service parcel terminals LP EXPRESS 24. A year ago, 9% of items were sent via the terminals, and this year the items of this type make almost 20% of all LP EXPRESS items. The results show that residents value a possibility to collect items at the time mostly acceptable to them,” Juozas Buitkus, director of the company Baltic Post, commented on performance results.

More than 60% of items are delivered to addressees in person, and approximately 20% of items reach the addressees by post. According to Mr Buitkus, performance of LP EXPRESS 24 gives grounds for expectations of rapid growth with regard to LP EXPRESS 24.

With growing mail volumes, sales income of Baltic Post is also rising. The company’s sales income has increased by 26% during Q1 of the current year if compared with the same period of 2014.

Considering the number of parcel volumes in Q4 2014, the company Baltic Post occupied 19.5% of courier market in Lithuania and was among the leading companies in Lithuania.
