Belarusian oil products exporter Belorusskaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya (Belarus Oil Company, BNK) plans on opening gas stations in Latvia, according to the newspaper "Biznes Vesti", cites LETA.

The company's head Sergey Grib says that BNK has experience of running gas stations in Russia and Ukraine, and is aiming to begin operations also in the Baltic States. The first gas stations could be opened in Latvia.

Talks are under way at the moment, said Grib, adding that he saw the Baltic States as a small market with a limited number of potential partners

.

BNK does not have its own gas stations on the Russian and Ukrainian markets, but has authorized its partners to use the company's name, providing them with oil products.

Citing sources from the Belarusian media, "Biznes Vesti" says that BNK could cooperate with Woodison, a company that runs operations at Riga Port, using it as an oil terminal for exports.
