Kazakhstan is still very attractive and promising market for Latvian business. However the interest we have to each other is mutual.

“Relations between our countries is developing constantly and in positive way, - ambassador of Kazakhstan Baurzan Muhamedzanov said at presentation of book by President of Kazakhstan recently held in Riga. – And now it is the right moment to bring our relations to a new level.” Mr. Muhamedzanov believes that it is business to play the main role in that process.

His words are being confirmed by facts. Number of contacts between Latvian and Kazakhstan entrepreneur grew noticeably. Heads of Kazakhstan Entrepreneur associations - Union of Entrepreneurs of special economic zones of Kazakhstan and Association of development of small and medium-sized business KAZadvancement, had recently visited Latvia at the behest of Baltic-Kazakhstan Economic Development Association.

Guests from Kazakhstan were interested in the state of affairs in different areas of Latvian economy. Real estate and building were the sectors of biggest interest for them. And there is a real description thereof. Thanks to the decision of the President of the state Nursultan Nazarbaev, Kazakhstan applied development program (Nurli Zol) (“The bright way”). It provides multi-billion investments in dwelling, infrastructure objects and road building.

“We have studied the “Nurli Zol” programme very carefully”, – Chairwoman of the Real Estate Expert council Inara Vilkaste said. – And we saw a great potential of cooperation between Latvian and Kazakhstan business in real estate, building technology, architectural and design solutions areas.”

In the frames of visit of Kazakhstan entrepreneurs’ associations’ leaders to Latvia, guests attended the Real Estate Expert company office, where negotiations were carried out. “We discussed contacts between entrepreneurs of Latvia and Kazakhstan, – Inara Vilkaste said. – We had very substantial conversation. We also revealed ways of business cooperation. Guests were interested in our experience of real estate projects development, implementation of high technologies of projection and building”.

Discussions about unique Real Estate Expert project – multifunctional complex Medical Park in Jurmala became a separate topic of discussion. “During the discussion we concluded that this project could be interesting for investors from Kazakhstan, – Inara Vilkaste said. – We could bring high European medical technologies and representatives of leading European clinics to Kazakhstan. Modern maternity centre, helping to succeed the program of demographic increase in Kazakhstan, could be built in Jurmala as well.”

Sides confirmed that their intentions are serious by signing a memorandum of cooperation between Real Estate Expert Company and Association of development of small and medium-sized business KAZadvancement.

“The way of cooperation is paved – Inara Vilkaste believes. – A workgroup to develop specific steps of project implementation is being created. I’m sure that medical tourism is one of the most perspective areas in Europe.

Latvia and Kazakhstan already have all the preconditions to become the centre of this branch of tourism”.
