Elko Grupa turns over EUR 1.18 bln in 2014

BC, Riga, 02.04.2015.Print version
Eastern European IT product wholesaler Elko Grupa turned over USD 1.27 billion (EUR 1.18 billion) in 2014, the company informed LETA.

"The company's turnover last year grew 8%, compared to 2013, while gross profit indicator slipped to 3.1%, compared with 4% in 2013, due to fluctuations of Ukrainian and Russian currencies," says Elko Grupa Finance Director Sven Dinsdorf.

In 2015, Elko Grupa development strategy will focus on two courses: with regard to the current market situation – to strengthen the company's positions on the market, and make better use of the available resources; and with regard to new solutions – to increase its product portfolio, and improve sectors which have a future potential – smartphones, network, server, and data solutions.

Taking into account the size of the Russian market and its influence on Elko Grupa business, the company is not planning any growth in 2015, and forecasts a market reduction, which will be offset with positive growth on Eastern European and Baltic markets.

Elko Grupa was established in 1993 and is one of the largest IT product distributors in the Baltics, Central and Eastern Europe and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The company represents more than 80 manufacturers and sells production to 5,600 retailers.
