In February, retail trade turnover in Latvia grew by 1.2%

Central Statistical Bureau in Latvia show that compared to January, the total retail trade turnover in February 2015 rose by 1.2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices.

Retail trade in food products did not change, whereas turnover of non-food products increased by 1.9%.

 

Compared to January, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in February decreased by 3.8%. A year ago - in February 2014, compared to January 2014 turnover dropped by 7.2%.

Compared to February 2014, the total retail trade turnover in February 2015 grew by 9.3%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Rise in food commodity group comprised 6.2%. In non-food commodity group there was an increase of 11.3%, of which in retail sale of automotive fuel – of 24.7%.

 

The total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 5.2% (not taking into account the calendar influence).
