Retail trade turnover in Latvia grew by 1.7% in January

Data of Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to December 2014, the total retail trade turnover in January 2015 rose by 1.7%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices.

Retail trade in food products rose by 2.4%, whereas turnover of non-food products – by 1.2%.

 

Compared to December, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in January decreased by 20.3%. A year ago - in January 2014, compared to December – turnover reduced by 20.4%.

Compared to January 2014, the total retail trade turnover in January 2015 grew by 6.7%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Rise in food commodity group comprised 5.0%. In non-food commodity group there was a 7.8% increase, of which in retail sale of automotive fuel – 11.0%.

 

Total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 1.1% (not taking into account the calendar influence).
