2% more fuel sold in Latvia in 2014, retail volume rises 7%

A total of 1.233 million tons of oil products (fuel) was sold in Latvia in 2014, which is 19,710 tons or 2% more than in 2013, reports LETA, according to the State Revenue Service's data.
Retail of fuel increased 7% while wholesale of fuel decreased.
The amount of diesel fuel sold in Latvia increased 8% in 2014, and sale of autogas grew 11%. In the meantime, sale of gasoline decreased 3%, sale of petroleum fell 37% and sale of fuel oil 55%.
The leading fuel retailers in 2014 were Statoil Fuel&Retail Latvia, Neste Latvija, Lukoil Baltija R, Virsi-A and East-West-Transit – the same companies were also the leading fuel retailers in 2013.
