2% increase in passenger numbers at Riga Airport from Russia in 2014
However, this past January, compared to January 2014, passenger numbers from Russia decreased by 2%.
At the moment, three airlines carry out flights between Riga and destinations in Russia – Aeroflot, airBaltic and Transaero.
The airport reminds that Russian airline UTair halted flights between Riga and Moscow's Vnukova Airport in 2014.
As reported, in 2014, the Riga International Airport provided its services to 4.8 million passengers, which is 0.4% more than in 2013, the airport informed LETA.
A total of 16 airlines – airBaltic, Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines Group, Belavia, Brussels Airlines, Finnair, LOT, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Uzbekistan Airways, Ryanair, Transaero, Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, Wizz Air, and Smartlynx – currently offer flights to a total of 66 destinations to and from the Riga International Airport.
