Riga Technical University opens information center in Sri Lanka

Print versionAn information center of the Riga Technical University (RTU) was revealed in Colombo, Sri Lanka, today, with the objective being to advertise educational opportunities at RTU, as well as to facilitate bilateral cooperation in science.

RTU told LETA that participating in the opening ceremony were representatives of the Sri Lankan ministries and leading universities. Ministry representatives became acquainted with RTU's study opportunities, scientific achievements, and main priorities in science.
"Sri Lanka is a very prospective country with a fast-growing economy. At such a high development rate, the country is unable to provide engineering courses for all the students. For this reason, we hope that by establishing a center, we will help the Sri Lankan youth to acquire quality education in engineering at RTU," says Igors Tipans, the deputy head of the university.
