Baltic States – CIS, Energy, Good for Business, Latvia, Markets and Companies

According to Firmas.lv information, the subsidiary Argus Media Limited Latvijas filiale was registered in Latvia on August 28, 2014.

The company explained that Latvia is an important transit hub for Russian, Kazakh, and Belarusian products, including crude oil, coal, and fertilizers. Riga is the largest industrial and commercial center in the Baltic States, and the new Argus Media bureau will employ personnel that specialize in publishing, commerce, and consultations.

Latvia will serve as a strategic bridge between Europe, Russia, and CIS countries. It plays an important role in Europe's energy policy, which is one of the priorities of Latvia's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the company said.

Argus Media network consists of 20 bureaus in many different countries all over the world. The company will use its Riga subsidiary as a platform for further development of the Baltic market research in its publications in English and Russian.

Argus Media Chairman, Chief Executive Adrian Binks said that the Baltic States are an important region in regard to transport of energy resources and fertilizers, and especially – a route into the Western markets for Russian producers.
