Reola Gaas opened the first Baltic LNG gas-filling station in Tallinn

Alexela Group-owned AS Reola Gaas presented on Thursday the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) station in the Baltic States and will in the next couple of weeks start testing the first LNG-bus in the city of Tallinn and Harju county routes, LETA/Delfi reports.

AS Reola Gaas board member Allan Pohlak said that the innovative LNG fuel arriving in Estonia is of symbolic significance. "LNG is a new alternative liquid fuel, the use of which is due to economic benefits and environmental sustainability a growing trend in the heavy transport sector in many European countries, including Estonia," he said.

 

In the coming weeks, the first LNG-bus, the 12-meter long LNG bus Solbus Solcity 12 will be tested in cooperation with Tallinn City Transport Company and MRP Linnaliinid bus operator.

 

Reola Gaas also presented yesterday a new mobile LNG station that is the first in the Baltic States. In the coming weeks, the station will be located in Tallinn where it services the bus that is being tested.
