"We felt we could change the way video is captured in action sports," Agris Kipurs, co-founder of "AirDog", told AFP during a demonstration in the desert outside Las Vegas.

"AirDog" was created to capture the adventures of extreme sports, such as surfing, skiing, mountain biking, and others. "AirDog" follows its master autonomously using GPS, and captures video on a "GoPro" camera.

More than a dozen companies were showing their drones in Las Vegas this week, for uses ranging from remote-controlled toys to professional filmmaking to industrial and agricultural applications.

"AirDog" is also nominated for the "People's Choice Award".

"Our goal was to show that "AirDog" is practically ready to be used, as well as to demonstrate its demo flight to a bigger audience. For this reason, we chose to exhibit our product also outside the hall where we installed a skateboard ramp. Furthermore, in order to make the demonstration much more attractive, we invited a representative from "Red Bull" and Latvia's first professional skater Madars Apsis, who performed various impressive tricks on the ramp, while "AirDog" was recording the entire thing," the author of "AirDog" Edgars Rozentals says.

As reported, "AirDog" has been developed by Helico Aerospace Industries and is equipped with a "GoPro" sports camera.

Helico Aerospace Industries was founded on June, 2012, and is owned by Innovatio Capital. Last year, the company operated with a turnover of EUR 43,504.
