Canadian cafe network Second Cup enters Lithuania

On Monday, January 5th, Canadian-based coffee franchise and retailer Second Cup launched a cafe in Lithuania's capital Vilnius, in business centre 3 Bures. EUR 200,000 was invested in the cafe and more are planned to be opened in the future, reports LETA/ELTA.

The franchise in Lithuania is headed by Laurence Villamin.

 

Second Cup cafe network was founded in Canada in 1975. Its franchises operate in 22 countries, from the North America to the Far East. There are 349 Second Cup cafes in Canada, employing over 4,000 people.

 

The company follows socially responsible business principles and sells coffee under Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certificates. The company's shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
