Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 3rd largest carrier in Europe, will increase its flights between Vilnius and Istanbul as from March 2015. Effective from the 29th of March, the schedule will increase from 5 weekly to daily flights, reported BC press service of Vilnius airport.

The additional two flights will operate on Thursdays and Fridays using 737-800 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes: Business and Economy.

Turkish Airlines, Vilnius General Manager Serkan Binyar, said: “The increase in our flights from Vilnius is a direct response to growth in passenger numbers. Turkish Airlines has had a strong presence in Vilnius since 2013. As well as Turkey, we also serve the most popular destinations in the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, the Far East, Africa and Europe. The increased frequency will provide our passengers convenient departure times and better connections from Vilnius via Istanbul.”
