The first KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants will be located at 14 Audeju Street – the current address of "Street Burgers" – on 400 and 200 square meter floors respectively.

Street Burgers board member Aleksandrs Vevers told LETA that starting today, "Street Burgers" on Audeju Street ceases operations, as the franchise holder had not met financial obligations.

"A new restaurant will open in Agenskalns [southwestern Riga]," Vevers said.

According to the Patent Office of Latvia, KFC registered its brand in Latvia already back in 1992, which means that the holding company will open its subsidiary in Riga without a franchise.

KFC and Pizza Hut both belong to the American fast food company Yum! Brands.

With more than 18,000 restaurants in 115 countries, KFC is currently one of the largest fast food chains in the world.

Pizza Hut currently operates more than 13,000 restaurants in 88 countries.
