42,000 attended "White Night" events in Riga

On a perfect evening/night weather-wise in Riga, about 42,000 turned out for the contemporary arts forum "White Night", organizers are saying, cites LETA.

From all camps, information is coming in that public interest was "intense." Most concert halls and music venues were SRO [standing-room only].

 

Apparently the greatest interest was in the outdoor attractions, mainly installations, at such locations as the Spikeri Quarter, AB jetty and Vidzeme Market.

 

"White Night" this year featured a total of 54 events.
