Riga to hold large-scale beer festival in early September

Riga will hold the "Riga 2010" beer festival in early September 2010 at the Kipsala Exhibition Hall, the business portal Nozare.lv was informed by the event's organizers.

The festival will take place on September 4, and will feature a wide range of beers and traditional beer snacks, as well as an entertainment program for the whole family.

Visitors will be able to enjoy both well-known favorites and the products of minor brewers. Brewers taking part in the festival include "Aldaris", "Cesu", "Piebalgas", "Tervetes", "Madonas", "Brengelu", "Butautu", "Valmiermuizas", and others.

 

Foreign producers will also be represented at the festival, including "Stella Artois", "Hoegaarden", "Staropramen", "Paulaner Hefe-Weisbier", "Beck's", "Bavaria Premium", "Pilsner Urquell", "Velkopopovicky Kozel Dark", and others. Various beer snacks will also be on offer, including cheese, meat, fish, smoked products, and delicatessen, as well as alcohol-free beverages, ice-creams, sweets and other products, writes LETA.

 

The festival will open at 10 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m. The entertainment program will include strongman competitions, popular music concerts, an ethnic drumming show, and a brewers' parade. Beer tasting will be on offer, and competitions will take place both for adults and children.
