Held in Poland's EXPO pavilion and followed by a tour of the pavilions of Central and Eastern European countries, the seminar was attended by over 60 Chinese investors, journalists and foreign investment agency representatives. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce investment opportunities in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe along with the success stories of Chinese companies that have already made investments.

Commissioner of the Estonian pavilion at EXPO 2010, Toomas Tiivel, made note of the most important aspects for the entrepreneurs who visited the Estonian pavilion, writes LETA.

"Estonia will make the changeover to the euro from the new year, attesting to confidence in the Estonian economy. In addition, Estonia is geographically the closest EU member state to China," said Tiivel.

The participants who visited the Estonian pavilion took an interest primarily in Estonia's accession to European Monetary Union and the country's IT sector. The business people were briefed on various Estonian e-solutions, ranging from the electronic version of the Police Board to e-school and digital prescriptions.

The EXPO 2010 World's Fair, the motto of which is "Better city, better life", runs from 1 May to 31 October 2010 in Shanghai, China. Estonian national day at the EXPO will be held on 18 October. Estonia's participation at EXPO 2010 is organized by Enterprise Estonia.
