The annual "Baltic Textile + Leather" event is described as international business forum for the apparel sector, and offers an opportunity to find new suppliers and sourcing partners in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia.

Crucially, the fair is seen as a bridge between textile and fashion businesses in the West and East.

"It covers all kinds of textiles, fashion, leather, footwear, and service industries in order to enable companies to explore market opportunities in this region within a few days," explains Linas Lasiauskas, president of the Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association.

He adds that a combination of geographical location, flexibility, production know-how and more than 20 years of working with EU brands should appeal to sourcing professions, especially those interested in fast fashion and green textiles.

In line with a trade fair, there will be B2B meetings between delegates and leading fashion retailers and manufacturers, as well as business delegations from EU and CIS countries.

A round table discussion is also planned on "Cooperation in the Development of Apparel and Textile Sector between EU and CIS countries".

The next "Baltic Textile + Leather" fair will be held in Lithuanian Exhibition Centre LITEXPO on October 14-16 2010 Vilnius, Lithuania.
