TechChill 2021: Point of No Return. Startup and tech conference announces new dates in May and its main themes.

BC, Riga, 06.08.2020.Print version
The leading startup and tech conference in the Baltics TechChill launches its next season, and will take place on 19-21 May, 2021 in Riga, Latvia. The main focus for the 2021 season is the Point of No Return - the agenda will explore the current course of action in HealthTech, EdTech and Digital Transformation, and how provoked adaptation in these industries has transformed into unforeseen opportunities.

The tenth anniversary edition of TechChill is moving three months later, but not a day too late, and will transform Riga into a global meeting hub between May 19 and 21, the conference returns to Hanzas Perons, where the 2020 edition was held. However, the new season of TechChill 2021 will officially begin already in autumn with regular online and onsite networking events leading up to the conference itself. The organisers invite individuals, startups, community members, and corporations to be part of the creation of the conference already now.

“The new normal has transformed how we approach events - there is a lot of valuable content available online and both organisers and participants reevaluate what the events can offer. Yet, human connection is something that everyone appreciates and is missing online, and we believe conferences will still be the place that everyone migrates towards. Our goal is to meet in Riga in May for TechChill 2021 with a new appreciation of onsite events, however, we are ready to adapt to a fully online or hybrid event, combining online and onsite activities and content, depending on the global situation surrounding the pandemic,” explains TechChill CEO Madara Ermansone.

Organisers inform that despite the format of the event, the main topic of TechChill 2021 is certain - Point of No Return. Conference agenda will focus on the current course of action in HealthTech (Health Technologies), EdTech (Education Technologies) and Digital Transformation. Speakers will explore how the global pandemic and various other factors have provoked adaptation in these industries, and how that has either transformed into unforeseen opportunities or lead to a dangerous path for those not ready to change.

“We've reached the point of no return in so many of the most important aspects of our lives, such as, health, education and how we build businesses, and we wish to explore and learn from these transformative journeys. Founders will be invited to share their point of no return and make it or break it moments when building their startups during the already traditional Founder Stories. Another agenda block will feature the most practical and hands on advice, tools and options for startups facing change, adaptation or crossroads,” shares Madara Ermansone.

TechChill 2021 will be a three day event starting with a warm up day full of demo days, masterclasses, and other networking events followed by two day stage agenda that will include international speakers, including experienced founders, innovators, startup community leaders, tech media, investors and top experts in their field, with several opportunities of formal and informal networking. TechChill 2021 season will officially kick off in autumn with a focus on networking events, both online and offline, however, opportunities for students, the traditional startup pitch competition and many more events will not be forgotten.

TechChill is a startup community non-profit that hosts the largest tech event in Latvia on May 19-21, 2021 in Riga, Latvia at Hanzas Perons. A three-day event includes the warm up day full of demo days, masterclasses, and other networking events followed by two day stage agenda that will include international speakers, including experienced founders, innovators, startup community leaders, tech media, investors and top experts in their field, with several opportunities of formal and informal networking.
