The official inauguration is scheduled for next February, before the February 16 Independence Day.

Every visitor will be given a tablet computer as an interactive guide of the exhibition with tactile and augmented reality technologies, which will allow, for instance, hearing a story from a virtual scientist and see historic events.

Three floors of the center will feature three exhibitions. The first one will present the operations of the presidential institution and the history of the President's Office, acquainting with the archives of operations of heads-of-state. Filmed and animated materials will show a president's day and foreign visits. Gifts received by Lithuanian presidents from foreign leaders will be exhibited here.

The second exhibition will present the territory and residents of Lithuania, visitors will be asked to specify the reasons behind their love for Lithuania. A special game will take them to the country's most interesting locations. While traveling on a huge screen with Google Street View, they will locate places in Lithuania that are important for them and will have a chance to become authors of the exhibition.

The third exhibition will give a tour of governmental institutions and show decision-making processes there. Visitors will be able to discover the functioning of the state apparatus and key principles of democracy, the President's Office said in a press release.

The center took two years to build, with the total cost of the project estimated at 985,000 euros.
