The Estonian pavilion at the world exhibition EXPO 2015 MiIano has proven to be a popular place to visit over the two and a half months that it has been open – it has been visited by 1 million 364 thousand people. The average number of visitors per day is 18,196 people.

EXPO Estonian representation head Andres Kask said that before the event, the number of visitors planned was an average of 5-8 thousand people per day, and 150 to 240 thousand people a month.

"We considered that when by the end of the event, as many people would visit our pavilion as live in Estonia, we could consider the project a success. The fact that the number of Estonian residents is exceeded already in two and a half months, is a positive surprise, even for us," he said. "More visitors mean more positive contacts for both the tourism and businesses," said Kask.

The Estonian pavilion will be open until 31 October.
