Tero Kaukumaa, the founder of Blind Spot Pictures and Iron Sky Universe, has been reinventing fundraising and distribution models for film industry for years. On April 15, Tero will be speaking at BALTIC NETWORKING LAB conference in Riga along with ACME Film and Tauras Films founder Zilvinas Naujokas, as well as Ivo Felt, an Oscar and Golden Globe nominated producer, and other film production experts.

Tero Kaukumaa’s production of “Iron Sky”, which raised Eur 1 million in crowdfunding and attracted post-production artists from all over the world to crowdsource CG for the film, has lately turned into a franchise with the movie's sequel, a TV series and an array of brand products underway. The Iron Sky sequel, which yet is only in script development phase, has already outperformed the first movie in terms of crowd financing raised, with production having not even been started.

BALTIC NETWORKING LAB is an cross-industry conference for film, media and advertising professionals, first in a series of educational events organized by Latvian Filmmakers Union to provide training to Baltic producers in areas of fundraising, marketing, distribution, pitching and entrepreneurial thinking.

The conference is organized by Latvian Filmmakers Union with support of Latvian Culture Capital Foundation and RISEBA University.
