Straujuma to participate in WEF plenary session on growth and stability

During her visit to Davos for the World Economic Forum on January 22, Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma (Unity) will take part in a plenary session on growth and stability, the State Chancellery informed LETA.

On January 22, Straujuma will take part in a plenary session that will focus on matters related to political stability and economic growth in 2015.

 

In the afternoon, Straujuma will meet with Swiss Vice-President, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, Johann Schneider-Ammann.

 

On Friday, January 23, Straujuma will participate in an interactive luncheon session, which will focus on political, economic, and public changes that affect Europe's economy.

 

As reported, Straujuma received an official invitation to the World Economic Forum last week.

 

This year, the forum focuses on crisis and cooperation, growth and stability, innovations and industry, society and safety. Participating in the forum are business leaders, academicians, heads of state and government, representatives from international organizations.
