Swedbank loses market share in Estonia in 2014

Swedbank has lost market share in Estonia in both the loans and deposits market, Financial Supervision Authority fresh review of the financial markets indicates, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

At the loans market, Swedbank's market share as of 30 June, 2014 was 39%, compared to 40% at the end of last year and 41% in June 2013.

 

SEB bank's market share was 24% on June 30, compared to 19% in June last year.

 

Nordea Pank was on the third place with 19% market share and Danske Bank's market share in the credit market was 8%.

 

In the deposits market, Swedbank has lost market share by two percentage points to 43%, SEB bank's market share is still 21%. Danske Bank's market share has dropped by one percentage point to 13%, and Nordea Pank ranks fourth in the deposits market with 10%.
