Lithuania residents' debts in September back to 2013 year's level

In September 2014, the portfolio of overdue debts of Lithuanian residents increased by LTL 50 million (EUR 14.5 million) and at the end of the period amounted to LTL 3.62 billion (EUR 1.049 billion), informs LETA/ELTA.

The credit bureau Creditinfo says that the level of indebtedness has nearly reached the level in late 2013.

 

Currently, 275,000 residents of Lithuania have at least one overdue debt.

 

Creditinfo says that compared to August, residents in September were more active in applying to banks for credit services. Compared to August, September saw a decrease in the numbers of residents applying to credit unions, companies issuing consumer credits, small credits and rendering leasing services, as well as to telecommunication companies.
