Estonian state budget tax revenue grows by 3.6% in August

The Estonian Tax and Customs Board collected 479.6 million euros of taxes in August 2014, which is an increase of 3.6% as compared to the same time last year, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.
In the first eight months, 66.3% of the tax revenue plan of the whole year was fulfilled, finance ministry said.
VAT collection has been higher than expected – in eight months 1.1 mln euros of it has been collected, by 7.1% more than at the same time last year.
Excise tax collection grew by 7.7% in August year on year while tobacco excise tax collection grew by 14.5%.
