Estonian Nordea took over ERGO pension funds

As of September 1, 2014, Nordea Pensions Estonia AS is the new fund manager of ERGO pension funds in Estonia, Postimees Online reports.

The transfer of pension funds brought to Nordea pension funds 27,000 new investors and increased the volume of assets by 65 million euros.

 

"We are delighted to welcome all new customers, and we are confident that we will be able to guarantee them premium quality pension asset management services based on best Nordic practices," said Nordea Pensions Estonia manager Angelika Tagel.

 

The pension funds change period that entered into force on September 1, was successful for all pension funds managed by Nordea. Nordea pension fund asset volume rose by 3.74 million euros and the number of customers by more than 1,700 people. As of 1 September, Nordea's pension funds volume totalled 179 million euros and as compared to the same period last year the number of customers has almost doubled.

 

On 1 October 2014, Nordea merges the former ERGO funds with Nordea pension funds to achieve better synergy.
