Insurance companies in Latvia sign 6% more premiums in H1

Print versionThe total amount of premiums signed by insurance companies in Latvia, increased 6% in the first half of 2014, according to information provided by Latvian Insurers Association, cites LETA.

The amount of premiums written by Latvian insurance companies' subsidiaries in foreign countries, reached EUR 86.5 million, which is 5% more than in the first half of 2013.
Meanwhile, the amount of gross premiums written by insurance companies in Latvia, reached EUR 169.8 million. Thus, the total amount of premiums written by all insurance companies registered in Latvia, reached EUR 256.4 million, which is 6% more than in the first half of 2013.
