The M3 broad monetary aggregate increased by LTL 364.8 million (EUR 105.6 million) over the month, and its annual growth rate was 3.8 percent at the end of the month. While it was reduced by a decrease in currency in circulation (LTL 252.1 million or EUR 72.9 million), deposits with agreed maturity of up to 2 years (LTL 63.3 million or EUR 18.3 million) and deposits redeemable at notice of up to 3 months (LTL 42.2 million or EUR 12.2 million).

Domestic credit contracted by LTL 445.1 million (EUR 128.8 million) over the month as a result of a decline in credit to other residents by LTL 609.8 million (EUR 176.6 million) and an increase in credit to general government by LTL 164.6 million (EUR 47.6 million).
