If earns EUR 10.2 mln in Baltics in H1

The insurance company If in Estonia and its subsidiaries in Latvia and Lithuania posted a consolidated profit of EUR 10.2 million in the first six months of 2014, informs LETA.

The amount of profit in the respective period of 2013 was EUR 5.6 million, thus the company's profit has grown by 82%.

 

The amount of gross premiums in the Baltic market in the first six months was EUR 64.8 million of 2014, up from EUR 61.4 million the respective period of 2013, the company informed the press.

 

The amount of gross premiums reported by the Latvian subsidiary If P&C Insurance was EUR 16.1 million in the first six months of 2014, a 13% increase from EUR 14.3 million in the respective period of 2013.

 

The amount of If indemnities in the Baltic States was EUR 33.6 million. This is 3% less than in the respective period of 2013, when the figure was EUR 34.7 million.

 

Latvia's If P&C Insurance paid a total of EUR 8.6 million in indemnities during the first six months of 2014, down from EUR 8.7 million in the respective period of 2013.

 

The total number of the company's clients in the Baltic States has reduced 3%, from 370,000 to 360,000 clients.
