Financial data of Estonian municipalities made public in Internet

Print versionStarting Monday, all people can review the financial situation and activities of the Estonian local municipalities at the Internet page riigiraha.fin.ee, the finance ministry announced, cites LETA.

The aim of the application is to help people to understand the activities of their local municipality better and facilitate people voicing their opinions when decisions are made. It also makes local level management more transparent.
The application Riigiraha (State money) was developed on the basis of experiences and feedback of the 2012 pilot project Riigipilv (State cloud), said Andrus Jõgi from the finance ministry.
The new application covers local municipalities bookkeeping data in the period of 2008-2013.
