Lithuania's SoDra receives highest income in 5 years in January-February 2014

According to the preliminary data, income of the State Social Insurance Fund Board (SoDra) in Lithuania in January and February 2014 was the highest one since the global economic crisis in 2008, reports LETA/ELTA.

During the first two months in 2014 SoDra revenue (excluding health insurance) amounted to LTL 1.415 billion (EUR 410 million) and it was by LTL 114 million (EUR 33 million) or by 8.7% more than in the corresponding period in the previous year.

 

The result of the two months of 2014 is the second best during the entire Lithuania's Independence. Higher income (EUR 416 million) was collected only in 2008.

 

Meanwhile, SoDra expenses in January and February amounted to LTL 1.856 billion (EUR 538 million), it is by 0.7% less than expenses a year ago.

 

SoDra budget deficit in January and February of 2014 was by LTL 127.4 million (EUR 36.9 million) lower compared to deficit in the corresponding period in 2013.
