Lithuanian post offices open to donations for the organization “Save the Children Lithuania”

Lithuania Post is inviting to donate to the non-governmental organization Save the Children Lithuania. Donations for children being under the care of Save the Children Lithuania are accepted at all post offices and PayPost outlets rendering financial services, informs BC post’s press service.

“We are trying hard to find new and simple ways for Lithuanian citizens to donate to the non-governmental organization Save the Children Lithuania. We are very glad and grateful that Lithuania Post has offered to accept donations at all post offices and PayPost outlets. We expect that the majority of Lithuanian residents will take this opportunity,” Director General of Save the Children Lithuania Rasa Dičpetrienė said.

 

Head of Lithuania Post’s Marketing and Communication Department Rasa Kruopaitė-Lalienė said:

 

“Last year we started selling books and a CD for children marked with special stickers. Everybody having obtained the book or CD had donated 1 litas to the account of children. We are glad that since now on any citizen can donate unlimited amount of money. We expect that a wide network of access points will enable residents of small towns to make their contribution.”

 

The donated funds are accepted in cash at all post offices and PayPost outlets, and no charges are applied for acceptance and transfer of the funds.

 

The people of good will are free to choose whether to be known or unknown, i.e. there is no obligation to reveal one's identity. This should be said to the staff in advance. The customer having indicated his/her e-mail address will receive a thank-you letter from the organization Save the Children Lithuania.

 

Funds to the organization Save the Children Lithuania will also be raised during the charity concert broadcasted by the television LNK on March 29. Everyone will be able to donate by calling or sending a SMS.
