Bank of Latvia's external reserves grew by 4.4% in February

Print versionThe Bank of Latvia's external reserves stood at EUR 5.72 billion (LVL 4.004 billion) at the end of February 2013, according to the central bank's website, reports LETA/Nozare.lv.

Compared to the end of January, the central bank's external reserves have increased by 4.4%.
The bulk of the Bank of Latvia's external reserves, EUR 5.29 billion (LVL 3.7 billion), was made up of foreign convertible currencies.
The central bank's gold reserves stood at EUR 306.17 million (LVL 214.32 million), special drawing rights at EUR 117.97 million (LVL 82.58 million), and reserve position in the International Monetary Fund – at EUR 60,000 (LVL 42,170).
At the end of February 2012, the Bank of Latvia's external reserves stood at EUR 5.4 billion (LVL 3.8 billion).
