In 2013, central government consolidated budget expenditures will total LVL 4.76 billion, Finance Minister Andris Vilks (Unity) announced during a press conference yesterday.

Of the said amount, central government basic budget expenditures will amount to LVL 3.35 billion, central government special budget expenditures – LVL 1.42 billion, according to the maximum-allowed budget expenditures, approved by the government yesterday.

The 2013 budget will be approved by the government on September 25 and submitted to Saeima on September 28, writes LETA.

This year, central government consolidated budget expenditures are planned at LVL 4.645 billion, central government consolidated budget revenue – LVL 4.524 billion. Central government basic budget expenditures will reach LVL 3.424 billion, central government special budget expenditures – LVL 1.403 billion.

"2012 has created a rather safe basis and can be considered successful. Therefore, we can afford separate economic stimulus measures in next year's budget," emphasizes Vilks.

The minister points out that it is necessary to remain cautious regarding next year, since it is currently difficult to predict how the European Union's debt crisis will be solved.
