The "fiscal space" was expanded from LVL 81 million to nearly LVL 91 million.
The important talks on next year's budget have concluded today and the rest is technical budget drafting so that the 2013 budget bill could be submitted to Saeima by October 1, emphasized the prime minister.
It is also important that next year's budget deficit remains set at 1.4 percent of GDP, reported LETA.
Finance Minister Andris Vilks (Unity) pointed out that it is highly positive that the Cabinet and ministries have agreed on the required funding and that the Finance Ministry has managed to process these requests.
Initially, expenditure ambitions amounted to LVL 340 million. In the end, they were reduced to have no effect on fiscal discipline," said Vilks.
