Tax debts to budget totalled LVL 1.02 bln in early June

The total amount of tax debts to Latvia's budget amounted to LVL 1.02 billion in early June, including LVL 683.38 million to the state budget, LVL 202.55 million to local government budgets and LVL 131.87 million in unpaid social insurance contributions, according to the State Revenue Service's (SRS) data.

Current debts (delinquent debts on which interest is charged) constituted LVL 551.13 million, cancelled debts (with the SRS no longer calculating interest) – LVL 404.5 million. The SRS also granted repayment extensions to LVL 62.6 million worth of debts, writes LETA.

 

Of the total amount of current debts (LVL 551.13 million), debts to the state budget comprised LVL 336.52 million, to local government budgets – LVL 139.93 million, and unpaid social insurance contributions – LVL 74.69 million.

 

Of the total amount of cancelled debts (LVL 404.5 million), insolvent companies' debts stood at LVL 403.93 million.

 

Repayment extensions were granted to LVL 43.06 million worth of debts to the state budget, LVL 6.12 million debts to local government budgets and unpaid social contributions worth LVL 13.42 million.
