Putans will face 250 hours of community service without any additional punishment, informs LETA.
Details of the verdict will be released later, but it appears that court had rejected the prosecution's request to classify Putans as a "government official" at the partly state-owned bank. This apparently resulted in the lesser charge and verdict, plus he had admitted guilt and expressed regret.
Putans was initially accused of demanding and taking part of a EUR 50,000 bribe.
