Estonian state budget collects 39% planned annual tax revenue in 5 months

According to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board, the tax revenue collected by the state budget amounted to 381.4 million euros in May 2012; in the first five months of the year, the state budget has collected 38.8% of the revenue planned for the year in the 2012 state budget, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

The tax collection was by a tenth higher than last year.

 

The social tax revenue amounted to 159.9 million euros in May, by 7.3% more than last year. 41% of the planned revenue for the year was collected in five months.

 

Private individuals’ income tax collection was in May 39.1 million euros, in five months 15.4% of the budget plan has been collected. By the end of May 98.7 million euros of tax returns had been made, by 1 million more than last year.

 

Legal entities paid income tax of a total of 19.9 million euros in May, by 76% more than at the same time last year. 37.8% of the amount planned for the year was collected in five months.

 

112.5 million euros of value added tax was collected in May, 16% more than at the same time last year. 40% of the budget plan was collected in five months.
